I'm trying to install some SPM licensing software on my new computer, but it keeps on giving me an error that says:

Error:protocol 'TCPIP' is not installed.

I checked my network connections (Nvidia Nforce) and the TCP/IP box is checked. I'm not sure what to do.

What do you mean by 'working fine on your domain?' I'm not sure I understand.

Are you on a domain or is it just a standalone pc?
If you are on a domain I was referring to general day to day activities i.e. Logging/Browsing the network, using the internet etc

It's just a standalone PC and the Internet works fine.

Sounds like an app problem. Maybe your app is trying to "phone home". Turn off your firewall if you got one and see what happens.
