TCP/IP COnnecticity

Home Network Description:
3 Desktops - 2 laptops (All Win98SE)(192.168.1.100 - 105)
All conected via Peer to Peer
1 Linksys 8 Port Hub - Uplinked to the router Other comupters on this Hub work fine)
Have also tried other ports.
1 Linksys Router (192.168.1.1)/4 Port Hub -
Connected to a 3Com Cable Modem
Router assigns IP Addresses
4 Computers work fine.
Problem Laptop: I can access all other computers via Network Neighborhood. Laptop receives IP address from router (192.168.1.104) verified by release/renew. Laptop can ping loopback. Laptop can ping itself. Laptop cannot ping anything else, router or other computers. I have tried different cables & different PCMCIA Network Cards. Cards have been installed and uninstalled. TCP/IP has been installed and uninstalled.
Computer name is unique.
Any Suggestions?

Computer description is different to others - check workgroup name.

Otherwise, check if there is some privacy software installed like zone alarm.

Sorry that I have not responded earlier.. I went into the hospital for back surgery. No, privacy software installed.
Someone mentioned re-installing the Winsock Stack. I will do that today

I have applied all of the contributors suggestions.
To no avail. There comes a time when fixing a problem is no longer the best response.
I formated the hard drive and started over.
I can now ping everyting with no problem.
