Hi

I have been searching for ages and have come up with nothing!
Does anyone know of an app that will monitor the connection status of a process?

For example netstat shows a particular connection as "established" but when this changes to "close_wait" or any other status I need an alert, preferably email.

e.g.
mstsc.exe 192.168.0.1 to 10.10.1.1 TCP 3389 Established
mstsc.exe 192.168.0.1 to 10.10.1.1 TCP 3389 close_wait <-- ALARM!

I can't believe nothing exists for this, can anyone help?

Thanks

yeh kind of mate, I have come across a few of those but none seems to have alerting functionality

In that case you can try the following; Run Performance Monitor and create a new alert. Add a counter from the TCPv4(or TCPv6) and select the appropriate counter from the list (like Connection Reset/Failure). Then on the action tab specify what you want to have done.
