I have two contivity 1100 units connecting two sites together over the internet. The VPN tunnel is solid and does not go down. I can access systems from both ends with no problem.
My issues begin when I have a session established to a machine (it happens on various systems not just one) and I let it idle for 60 seconds with no keystrokes… the session gets disconnected.
The TUNNEL remains up…I could be working on another session at the time connected to the same or other machine over the VPN…its just that particular session that “dies”.
I tried playing with VPN settings and so did Nortel, but I think the issue is somewhere on the contivity (V5.00 by the way…) as even if I connect with the Nortel client to it (avoiding the branch tunnel completely) the situation still repeats itself.
Its like the NAT flow or TCP connection gets disconnected after exactly 60 seconds…and I cannot find a setting in the contivity CLI or GUI that will help to remove this…
Any help or tips is appreciated!
Thanks very much!
