hello people,

I wonder if any of you know how can I access the Backlog queue to find what is the percentage of TCP SYN packets there.

I would really appreciate any tips.

regards,

Aziz.

backlog queue on what? a router? switch? server? what are you trying to accomplish? why SYN packets?

Hi,

Backlog queue on a server to see if it is full or not. Backlog queue does not take anything other than the first SYN packet in the 3 way handshake. What I am trying to do is to see if it is full for a long time then I can detect that there is a DoS attack, SYN Flood attack.

Is there any way to access this information for example through a programming language. is there any method that I could call to see this information.

Regards,

Abdulaziz.
