TBPanel Error

What with my RAID issues and SP1 issues I've been keeping a serious eye one Event Viewer. Every boot sees this error being reported.

Log Name: System
Source: Service Control Manager
Date: 12/01/2012 08:01:31
Event ID: 7000
Task Category: None
Level: Error
Keywords: Classic
User: N/A
Description:
The TBPanel service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the file specified.

TBPANEL.exe lives in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Vtune

It's a bit of a mystery. It doesn't appear to be causing any problems but I would like to get to the bottom of it and fix it.

have you tried reinstalling it?

Have you checked the location that the service manager is trying to start it from?

Chris.

Check folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Vtune and ensure SYSTEM or whatever ID the service is running as has access rights. Inheritable should be set at the Vtune folder level but one should never assume.

Reinstall - no - I assume it came from the ASUS mobo disk?

How do I check the location?

Ssytem and admin users both have full control.

Code:
Intel VTune Amplifier XE is a commercial application for software performance analysis for 32 and 64-bit x86 based machines, and has both GUI and command line interfaces

check your services (run box >> services.msc] and see if anything to VTune is listed there, and disable the service...

alternative, as said before, install the software again then uninstall it...

in case it has nothing to do with Intel's VTune, then most likely it is installed with the nVidia drivers (Gainward - ExpertTool), see:

NOTE: I do not know the validity of that site, so I would not use the TOOLS on that site (actually buttons) but it tells you the REGISTRY START ramp... ;)

How to ask a question, when posting them to a professional forum.
Only ask questions with yes/no answers if you want "yes" or "no"

I have no time to sort this issue at present. I'll revisit later - probably around April the way things are going at the moment!
