hi, im trying layout my database to allow for the quickest possible searching.

my customers will choose a hotel.
the website will then display the price of the journey to that hotel for the 5 types of vehicle..

sal - Saloon (Sedan)
est - Estate (Station Wagon)
mpv - People Carrier
exe - Executive
nst - Nine Seater (Minibus)

along with each price.. a small thumbnail of the vehicle will display to illustrate to my user what the car roughly looks like. so i have 5 images also named..

sal.jpg
est.jpg
mpv.jpg
exe.jpg
nst.jpg

so everytime my user selects a hotel and clicks submit, 10 items are loaded.. 5 prices and 5 image filenames.

which will look something like this..

this is my current db structure

the reason im posting is firstly to hear your opinions on whether you think this is the most efficient way of searching because there will be many many records.. eg hotels,stations,postcodes,airports.. etc..

and im planning on creating separate tables for each such as

tblPostcode - to hold all the postcodes...

then tblPostcodesal (saloon prices).. tblPostcodeest (estate prices).. etc

will this database structure suit my website display requirements.. thanks.

ok im just waiting to upload the pictures.. my server playing up.. give me a bit of time to get the pictures up.. they are very important

the pictures are working.. could u check them and help me.. thanks

sorry.. this has nothing to do with javascript..

it was my mistake.. mod could you please move this thread to the asp forum..
thanks
