Regarding the Tax Analysis by Tax Code report, the taxable amount is not correct on the report. We have Misc and Freight charges flagged as fully taxable in OE setup. The system properly calculates the sales tax. However, the report does not include misc or freight items in the taxable amount field in the report. Why? This forces us to back in to the taxable amount based on the sales tax that we invoiced on the order.

Thanks, Sue

Sue,

Sounds like a bug to me. Have you reported this to Exact yet?

Is this the Macola report or the ICR version of the report?

This is the Macola report. I don't see an ICR version of this report in the SM module.

I have not reported it to Exact, yet. I usually save that as a last resort.

I also noticed something else on the report. We've started to use Tax Schedules in AP. The associated Tax Codes are different than the ones used in AR/OE. When I ran the report for Sales Tax collected, I selected AR only. The new Tax Codes appeared on the report (not unexpected). However, the totals from the tax code immediately preceding the new codes appear in the AR totals even though there is no AR activity for them. I basically have 4 lines with the exact same totals.

Maybe it would be easier to just design my own crystal report and not even mess with the Macola report.

There are no ICR reports for Sales Taxes, why I am not sure.

I think you should report both of these. Either you are overlooking something in setup (what it would be I have no idea) and you are going to get your setup corrected, or the reports have a bug. Either of these are legitimate uses of Exact Tech Support.

If you report this to Exact, please let us know what happened.
