Texas has just added a mixed beverage Sales Tax that goes into effect on Wednesday. We are a very busy speed bar and would like to not have to add the tax to items and then deal with pennies, nickles, dimes and strange amounts.

I have set up an inclusive tax for this. When i sell a mixed beverage, for 4.00 the back of the house shows the sale for 3.67 and .33 tax. This is what I want. However on the front of the house receipt, it shows the item as $4 and tax as 0. I need to make the FOH break out the tax separately. I have changed the check printing options on store settings to print tax detail and refreshed the system but it still shows tax 0.

My NCR local office was not help, they said they did not know if that could be done. I have a radiant document with new features in 6.1 and it says
[tt]In accordance with some International taxing jurisdictions, you must display a tax breakout section at the bottom of the check to indicate the taxes being applied, the tax rate, and the amount taxed. Currently, you can configure the system to display a tax breakout section for inclusive taxes. You can now independently display a tax breakout section for exclusive taxes. You can print either or both types of taxes[/tt] That would do exactly what I need, I just do not find any way to turn it on.

Can anyone help me out?

Not trying to be a smart ass but why don't you call NCR back and read that to them. How the company that sells the product can tell you "we don't know" when you have that doc is a mystery, surely there is someone in that NCR office that doesn't have their head up their...

I would think that there was somebody with their head in a book and not their, well you know. But they remoted into my site and so I pulled up the doc for them to actually read. They were amazed and "had never heard of that". I find that their support people know less about Aloha then I do.

Did they turn it on for you after remoting into the site?

No, they could not figure it out. However, I found it myself this morning. Its on Store Settings/International/Taxes and Surcharges. Reseller was bought by NCR and their support is totally useless.

Okay, just making sure you got it, yeah that is a relatively common question in my experience
