I have the standard version of SQL Server and have a reference book that refers to the developer edition.

One of the options covered by the book is the 'taskpad' option to view the properties of a database. The properties reveal a page with three tabs entitled 'General', 'Table Info' and 'Wizards'.

I cannot see the 'taskpad' option in my 'standard' edition.
Am I correct the standard edition simply does not include it?

The taskpad view is available with all editions both in 7 and 2000. It is a feature of the Enterprise Manager app rather than the database.

Within Ent Mgr select the database you want to view from the Databases container under the server. Then from the View menu select "Taskpad".
