task splitting 1

When using MSP 2002, the software often splits tasks once the project has been updated to reschedule the remaining work. The only way we have found to fix this is to either manually join the task segments, or re-create the tasks and then delete the corrupt tasks.
Does anyone know the reason this happens, how it can be avoided, or an easier way to fix the affected tasks?

Look at these settings:

Tools | Options | Schedule-tab and clear the "split in-progress tasks" box.

If you use levelling, clear the box labelled "Leveling can create splits".
