Although you shouldn't use Task Scheduler to run a thorough ScanDisk or Defrag, you can use it for a reminder. Just write yourself a note with Notepad or Wordpad and save it, being sure to name it. You can save it were ever you wish, just remember where.
Then, in Task Scheduler, instead of choosing a program, click Browse and choose your note. Complete the wizard and that's it. When your scheduled time arrives, the note will open and remind you to run your scan and defrag.
You can use this same trick as an alarm clock. You can choose an mp3 or real audio file or whatever. If it's something you can start by double clicking, you can start it with Task Scheduler.
Also, once a task has been scheduled, even if it was for just one time, you can reset it from the list within Task Scheduler. Just double click it and choose the schedule tab to change the times.
