Task scheduler not run immediately

I have set my task scheduler to run immmediately to update my dat files, but they didn't seem to run at at all, even the log, default.htm does not show invoking or executing. I have change agent to server communication to be 5 mins and even send a agent wake up call but no success. I'm using epo 2.5 and virusscan 4.51

Make sure that you enable the task in ePO. This is a common mistake since this has to be enabled manually.

I did and I checked on the task scheduler it showed true but still it did not run, It's about 1 hr since I last adjust the settings and I set my agent to server communication to have 5 minute interaction. So what seems to be the problem?

Just to add on My last check after performing the above show task invoking and executing at an interval of 1 hr (even though i set a 5 min interval) My updates however were not updated

My mistake is I have not change my settings in the task scheduler. Thanks AVChap
