I am doing a project using MS Project 98.
I have the task duration set for days.
If I type in .5 Days or .25 days all works OK.
If I type in .125 days, it rounds up to .13 days.
Is there anyway to change the task duration to 3 decimal points?

I would appreciate your advise.

Internally, Project tracks everything in terms of minutes.

I don't have access to P98 any more but P2003 supports durations of "23mins", "24mins", etc although I cannot easily conceive of a project schedule where things are tracked to the minute.

If you're desperate to track to the minute then Tools | Options | View-tab, go to the date format section and choose one with the minutes displayed. Set up your project by manipulating the start and finish times and then write a little VBA to loop through the tasks and put the difference between the Start and Finish into a Number column with the necessary precision.

You say you are an instructor. What do you teach?

PDQBach,
Thanks for the info.
I was previously teaching general computing and some specific applications.
This was before I returned to the electrical industry.

If you can, make a strong presentation to move from P98 to P2003 Standard. A number of bugs are fixed, the scheduling engine is more efficient and there are lots of enhanced items.

(Glad to hear you aren't instructing on Project ... hate to think you were being forced to use P98 as your teaching platform.)
