Hello,

Apologies may be in order if this has been addressed previously; tek-tips search functionality appears to be offline at the moment, however.

I am rather new to Project 2003, and have a number of tasks in my current .mpp file; frequently there will be emails or phone calls related to some of the subtasks (the project is Active Directory migration) and it seems unclear how to best document the calls/emails etc. for each task. "Journal" in Outlook comes to mind as a useful tool used in the past, and it seems the best way to move forward is to just add new entries in the Notes field of each subtask, each entry having a date or time stamp also.

Assuming this is the 'best' way to document work done on tasks, but welcome your suggestions.

Thank you.

The best answer is "whatever floats your boat", "different strokes for different folks".

Me? A combination of notes at the task, assignment or resource row plus my handscratched notes in my notebook plus other people reminding me of things during status meetings.
