Task bar name needs changing 2

Hi

I have IE 6 and up until recently used an ISP called JungleLink. Once I installed the connection software it changed the task bar name to "Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by JungleLink" I no longer use that provider and would like to remove that name. How do I do this??

Open regedit, search for "junglelink", and change it to anything you want. Close regedit, restart. Cheers,

Thanks for this, please could you however prehaps give me some more detailed info - I am not so sure where to change / delete. I did find JungleLink and deleted, however it is still there.

There will be more than one, possibly 4 or 5 places in the registry where it will occur. Two for Outhouse Express, and two for IE, and possibly a backup for IE if you've done an upgrade (from IE5 to IE6 for example).
Change them all.
You can't just delete the key, you must right click on the key, select Modify, then you can do whatever you like.
Mine says" See Stuff on the 'Net" Cheers,

Window title fix:

For IE:
Backup the registry and/or export the following key: Go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\Window Title
Right-click on the Window Title entry, choose modify and delete what's in the box or type in your own customized version information.

For Outlook Express:
Navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OutLook Express
Right-click on the WindowTitle entry
and modify or delete.

Any custom graphics are located here:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ToolbarEntries such as SmBrandBitmap and any entry with brand or bitmapo in it can be deleted or choose your own custom graphics and specify the path location here.
