Is there a way using HTML or JavaScript to jump to a specific area (ie:<a name=&quot;blah&quot;></A>) of a document from a document or imagemap located in a separate directory but in the same website?

<a href=&quot;pages/one.htm#blah&quot;>click here for blah</a>

the code you suggest works only on targets on the same page.

I disagree...

I have tools/menu.asp that has this link:
<A HREF=&quot;home/faq.asp#privacy&quot;>
& it works just fine.

if you are coming from page1.htm and you want to go to tools/page4.htm#blah then my technique is how it is done!

I am wrong, you are right I screwed up a different part of the code that was affecting the anchor/target re;lationship.
Sorry, my bad! Dah.
