I'm networking some BCM450 rls 5.0 systems with SIP and MCDN. Each site has it's own PRI to the PSTN with DIDs and I've assigned the target lines to ring on the appropriate sets. For calls between the sites, I'll be programming private DNIS numbers that match the extensions and assigning those to the sets as well.

Here's the question - What are the pros / cons of using the same target line for both public and private DNIS. I could just use two separate targets one for public, one for private but can't think of any reason to.

You can only use the private DNIS if you have the MCDN keycode, which you have. There would be no reason not to use it as it would just make the system untidy in my opinion and waste target lines. However if you didn't have MCDN you would need to use them
