Have a customer with MICS 6.1xc & CP150 both fully expanded. One of the expansions is an ASM, on the ASM is a fax, assigned target line 169. Works fine during the day, when they go to night ans (manual) all calls to 169 go to gen dilivery. I have checked all spots I can think of, no mb assigned, aa set to not ans, Forward no ans, none forward busy, none. I'm at a loss.
As a quick fix I set aa to ans after 9 rings and all works fine..
Any ideas.............

Check the Prime Set for that line.
Also see what the delay for DRT to Prime is.

Agree with Galfaro...and-
Did you put 169 in a different ring group than the other lines.

Prime set to none, no drt. It's really a mystery....

I dont understand your statement "As a quick fix I set aa to ans after 9 rings and all works fine." Does this fix the problem while night ring is engaged? What do you use night ring for? Is the purpose to send all calls to VM, or make other phones ring?

... and -What DN's do you have in your night ring group.

Sorry for the confusion.
originally Line 169 was not set to be answered by the aa, BUT the aa answered it anyhow when na was turned on.(on the first ring) When I set the aa to ans line 169 and set rings to 9 it quit picking it up on the first ring.

When night ring is turned on all incoming calls go directly to the aa. The only sets in the ring group are the recp and voice mail.

I would try removing the recep from your group, as there is no reason for it to be in there, especially since it is the gen deliv picking up, which I am assuming is at the recep phone.

When I set up a night ring for AA to immediate answer, there is only 1 DN in the group, and that is the one and only main VM DN ( just making sure you have not put the secondary ports of VM in the group)

O.K. I have taken the recp out of the ring group and turned the aa ans off. so far so good the fax is still answering.
Thanks for your input bkrike....

for whatever reason the system defaults with all target lines being part of ring group 1 (assigned to sta 221 under common settings) This is not a problem until the customer decides that they want to use night services, first night every single target line goes to AA instead of their mailboxes.

If voting could really change things, it would be illegal.
