I have an Oracle export file (*.dmp) generated daily on a Digital Unix 4 box that I want copied to a Tape Drive on a Windows NT 4 server.

The tape drive on the Digital Unix box has developed a mechanical fault.

Question: Is this feasible and how do I go about it.

Currently am having to manually ftp the oracle export file to the NT server and then backup to the NT tape device.

Please help I want to automate the process.

Options are -
create an FTP script as part of your backup to copy NT server
or
mount a shared windows directory as a Filesystem (eg user Samba) on the Tru64 box and export database to it.
