tar: 0511-825 The file is too large

Guys,
I am trying to save some files on a LT0 200/400G tape using the command tar cvf /dev/rmt0 and the command is not successfull, it says:

tar: 0511-825 The file 'dbastarch.1130.tar.Z' is too large.

I tried it on a larger tape too, but returns the same error.

 
When using LT02 (IBM 3582library) without any commercial backup utilities, which aix blocksize parameter give best performance?
 
It is true that tar has limit of 2Gb file size.. but if your os level is AIX 5.2 and above, tar has enabled to archive file more than 2Gb size.
