Does anyone know what tapiplay.exe is/does? I've looked around on the net but cant seem to find anything. Just wonder as it was on an XP machine at my work. The machine was runing very slow do to it using all the memory up. It was easy enough to disable, just wanted to know more about it. It doesnt show as spyware or a virus scanning it, but it definitly is a memory hog.

If you type in tapi play (with one space between) on to google it appears to have something to do with Windows media. But I could only find one website with tapiplay.exe and it was not functioning.

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.

TAPI stands for Telephone Application Program Interface and is widley used for computer telephone applications, Voice over IP, linking databases to Phones systems (eg keying you Credit card number into a phone).
So I'd say look for any telephony relate programs on your pc.
