TAPI to make HDX work?

Good Morning,

Do you have to have a TAPI service in order to make HDX work. For instance, you ask a caller to enter in their SSN and then do a lookup in the database to give them information based on their SSN and play it back to them. Is it neccessary to have a TAPI server or can you just use HDX? Is there anyone out there that is doing this who would be willing to speak with me offline?

Hello,

You don't need TAPI to make HDX to work, when you like the agent for instance to get a screenpop with the data which was retrieved when HDX did a DB lockup then you need TAPI.

We have several applications running on HDX, one example is that customers enter thier subscriber number, and then we read back their zipcode and Housenumber so that they can order a guide via the IVR.

Thanks for the information. So, you can do a database lookup and provide information to the caller without via HDX without middleware? How does that work? Do you have to develop the API? Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated as this is the difference of $40K
