Hi

I'm using TAPI API calls to make outbound calls. This works on 70% of our computers. On the others the call seems to be sent out from a different phone. Has anyone any idea how a call from one handset is transferred to another. The situation is fixed (eg. extension 222 always works, 224 outbound calls go from 226). There seems to be no releationship between the 'linked' phones.

Any clues?

Robert

check the setting in the tapi driver on the offending pc's
they are probably pointed at the wrong handsets

Thanks IPGuru

We are an IP Office user (hence this forum) - how do I check the tapi driver settings - where / how?

Robert

Robert,

Go to (case of XP):
Start - Control Panel - Phone and Modem options - Avaya IP office Tapi Service provider.

Then make sure you use the correct user and password.

OK - I hoped there was some other hidden method of mapping the extension, because what you were suggesting fitted.

However some other information - when dialing from the handset the call works fine. It is only when dialling via TAPI (API calls) that the incorrect extension mapping takes place.

Is IP Office and my Tapi API calls using different drivers? I've looked at all the drivers in the list and where they allow configuration seem to be OK.

Any ideas?

Thanks again

Robert

remove the driver re-start the pc. re-install the driver and re-start the pc.
make sure you are using the avaya ip office tapi 2 service provider to dial from and the extn no and details are correct. if not change and re-start again...
