Hi,
I am running Tapeware 7.00 on opensuse 11.3 to back up onto a HP Ultrium LTP 1 Tapedrive (100/200GB)
Backup is scheduled manually, performing a full backup mo - fr at 8pm. Formatting is set to "new tapes". Overriding to "all tapes".
On most of the backups run, at 60 to 90 GB, I got the message "Insert Tape November_2010", which is the oldest tape in the database.
I tried and inserted this tape, which was accessed for a short time, than I was asked to insert the daily tape and comparing starts.
While comparing, the old tape was not asked to be inserted again.
After doing so, I was still asked to insert November_2010 during backup. If I cancel it, the backup will be marked as failed.
I than deleted November_2010 from the database - and now I am asked to insert December_2010...
I found some older postings here describing the same problem - but no solution yet...
Ciao
dirk
