Hi,

I have emailed OnStream Tech Support and have yet to hear from them for the last couple of days. I plan on calling, however the last couple of days I have no voice (throat infection), so talking is really hard. While our Onstream ADR 30 was attempting to back up two nights ago it errored. I have reboot the system and the dog-gone tape is stuck in the drive. Any suggestions on how to get the little bugger out of there?

What kind of drive do you have? As far as a stuck tape, there are a couple of different ways to go about getting the sucker out. 1, you can try ejecting it during the computer's boot process. If this doesn't work, you've got problems. You can try the emergency eject. With these drives, they all have an arm below where the tape sits that when pushed back will eject the tape. On some models, the bottom of the drive has a banana shaped hole with a piece you can slide from one side to the other to eject the tape, on others, you have holes underneath where the tape is inserted to eject. Most of the time doing this will mess with the drive a little, but if you open and close it a few times, it usually works itself out.

Let me know if you have any more questions
