We have been having problems with the backups for about a month. We do Rotations of tapes in two week cycles. The backups was telling us that tapes could not be found first thought was they mixed up tapes. They quick erased all tapes and had some backups work and about two didn't. Last night the message came up that the media was full put in session two tape. (theres no way the tape should be full). I then tried to do a quick erase on it and got the above error Tape Server error A2. I tried to do a full erase and it put in a loop not just running tape drive but not erasing. Tried cleaning tape drive (twice) each time trying quick erase again and got the A2 error any help would be appreciated.
