Tape Serial Number

Hi All,

Can anyone help me in the below issue ..??
I need to get the Sun Solaris tape drive Serial Number and all other tape info .. is there any command can do that for me ??

This really depends on what type of Tape Drive you have. I have a newer Storedge C2 that has that information via web page. As far as the older 8mm and 4mm internal and external tape drives, I do not think these drives are smart enough to send that type of message.
