Is there a way to run a report to tell which save sets are on which tapes? It would be nice to have this.

Hello,

try the follwing command :

mminfo -avot -r "name" tape1 tape2...

Let me rephrase that. When I look in the Networker admin console is see all my tapes listed in under volumes. How would I be able to see a list of all the save sets that are listed on those tapes\volumes? Thanks!

double-click on a volume and you will see savesets contained on that tape...

But is there a way to export the save set information?

I don't think so, the better way is to perform the mminfo command given before.

Read the manual section on MMINFO in the Command Line Reference Guide... you can tune the following as you see fit:

[tt] mminfo -q "volume=000123" -r "volume(8),client(14),name(16),level,totalsize(8),ssflags,sscomp,ssbrowse,ssretent"[/tt]

The above will show all saveset info for volume 000123:

[tt] volume client name lvl total ssflags completed browse retent

You'll have to craft a script to do each and every volume you wish to list.

Read up on the "-o" option if you want to sort the resulting data.

Ok, thanks for the information!
