tape marked suspect - does backup restart from scratch ?

Hi All

I am using legato 6.1.2 on solaris.
I have a tape with verification errors , which legato has marked bad , but i cannot see 100% clearly if the backup has restarted from scratch. ( i think it has )

Does any one know if legato does restart the backup from scractch if that is the case ?

I would open a vendor call to Sun , but it takes soooooooo lonnnnngggggg to deal with them.

Hi!

If you have restart enable the saveset that was not finished
when networker marked the tape full should get backuped again. But savesets that complited before will not be restarted. I´m not 100 % sure in this...
