tape loading without mounting?

I have hard time to understand what is the meaning of loading tape in the terms of tape operation in a jukebox? In particular, what is the meaning of loading without mounting.

Loading without mounting is simply putting the tape physically in the drive.

Mounting the tape, is that 'backup software' reading the header and identifing the tape and getting it ready to write.

Deposit tapes from jukebox means removing them either to the CAP/ MAP or removing them completly.

The CAP/ MAP is a little area with a small door that allows a number of tapes to be added or removed without having to open the main door. This does not interfere with the operations of the library, apart from causing the robot to have to move some tapes about.
