Hi all,

I'm newbie in NetWorker environment and I want to know if can be possible to share a tape library connected to a SAN with 2 NetWorker backup servers, for AIX and Windows.

What module do I need ? Can it be Dynamic Drive Sharing ?

Storage nodes are necessaries ? I don't have very clear their usage.

I hope your suggestions about.

Thank you

To share a library between two different hosts, you will need to partition the library. You can't have two hosts controlling one physical library otherwise. What lib is it?

You can setup DDS but then all NW nodes must be in the same Data Zone. This means: 1 NW server & 1 NW storage node. There is no need for 2 servers.

However, if you must have 2 NW servers, than you either use a silo (ACSLS) or EMC's Alphastor, which is a software solution.
