anyone with a clue?
i check the tape a it's present without write-protection, well, i'm about reboot the audix and see what else can i do.

I don't have much Audix experience, but the computer guy in me wants to know if the media is still good. Do you have any other tapes you could try?

No, i don't have other, i'll make the reboot this weekend so it may fix the issue anyway i'm preparing my mind to the idea of search and buy an other tape :/

I have run into this a ton of times, here are the 3 main causes; 1 bad or worn out tape replace data tape, 2 heads on tape drive are very dirty and need to be cleaned with an alachol solution, 3 sometimes the belt comes off from the tape drive, very easy to reinstall and you can do this while system is still running and 4 yes 4 sometimes the tape drive just needs to be replaced.

I agree with joe2938...

I have run into this a few times as well, was the same 3 causes joe mentioned already:

Tape is bad and needs replacing of data tape

Tape drive dirty

Tape Drive went and needed replacement (the worst of the three)

Hi everybody

at the end i'll buy a tape drive.

i make the reboot, then change the tape, then clean up the drive, check the tape again and nothing.

the tape drive will arrive in a few days so tanks to everyone for the help.

yup had the same issue today will need to replace tape drive, did you also make sure tape drive belt was still on, its a little black rubber type band that is used to spin the tape drive and some times comes off but easy enough to reinstall.
