Tape inventory question

Why would tapes put in and inventoried not show up in a tape lists report? I put 4 tapes in our library and did the inventory. Everything went fine and all 4 tapes showed up in the inventory. However, when I do a tape lists report, 2 of the tapes don't show up. What are some reasons this would happen?
