Is anyone else having the same problem as me. We have servers located around the country , and all the backups were working ok, next thing we know is that most servers are asking for a new tape to be mounted at 99% completion. Anyone else having this problem?

Hello,
I believe the real issue lies with Arcserve's display of "percent complete".

If you check the job log you can see the total number of bytes to tape for each drive backed up (or database, or volume). Add these up and you can compute the number of total bytes written before the system needed an additional tape.

Let me know what you think...

I have the same problem, I've even resorted to backing up just 4GB on a new DDS4 Formatted tape and I still get the same result. Any idea's?

Buy a bigger drive...

Seriously though, are you using a tape library or a set of single drives daisy-chained or just a single tape drive? Monkeylizard

Just a plain single Tape drive. Only one, (Compaq Ml350 Server with Internal DDS4 drive)
