Tape ejects but job hangs at 99%

I would be grateful for your help: we have encountered a strange behaviour. We have a Dell DLT1 type of tape drive. When we run our nightly backup, in the morning we find that the tape is ejected but on opening the Veritas monitor we can see that the job is still running at 99%. The only alert message that appears it "Overwrite imported media". When we click on this message, the job completes shortly after that. According to the log, the whole job was running for 10 hours, although it actually completed in less than two hours.

Do you have any ideas?

Hi. Are you working in 2000/NT? Check out support.veritas.com and look at TechNote #192055. I had the same problem with our SDLT drive. Basically, Veritas claims you will need to edit some registry keys to resolve the problem.
