I need some help getting an understanding what an error message is telling me. I am running a SCO 6 using a /osr5/usr/bin/cpio command on a Dell PE 2900 with a Adaptec SCSI with a DAT 72. When trying to run a backup I am getting....

WARNING: Tape Drive: HA 1 TC2 LU 0 - CHECK CONDITION
WARNING: TaA "MEDIUM ERROR" condition bas been detected
WARNING: Tape Drive: HA 1 TC2 LU 0 - CHECK CONDITION
WARNING: TaA "BLANK CHECK" condition has been detected

Can anyone tell me what this means?
