We have a windows 2003 cluster where each system has 2 HBA's. Each HBA has its own SAN fabric connected to HP EVA array and HP ESL tape library with 8 x Ultrium2 drives.
Basically we can only see 4 drives on each host when we should see 8. We are seeing 2 drives down one HBA and 2 down the other.
The tape library has two routers in it where each router has two ports which are seen by the fabric. Each port has two drives on it.
We think windows can see the port 0 devices ok however there is some sort of configuration in windows 2003 thats not allowing up to see the drives from the other port.
Maybe some multi-pathing settings or something in the IO stack. We see 8 drives with hpux and 8 drives with windows 2000.
thanks!
