Hello All,
I have a Windows Server 2003 machine that has a tape storage drive installed. The problem is, with Backup Exec it frequently shows as "Offline." After further inspection, I have noticed that the device "Tape Drives" does not show up in Device Manager. Only after I scan for hardware changes do I see it reappear. After this, I'm able to change the status of the tape drive to "Online." This is annoying because I'm having to do this every other week. I have tried changing the driver for the device, but it hasn't fixed the issue. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?
Thank you!
