Hi all,

My problem is the following one: For several days I see that legato marks as full tapes than have less than 20% of his capacity. I checked the schedule, policy, etc and all seems ok

Please anyone can help me??

Thanks in advance and regards

NW does this when he cannot recover from a write error. This can be the result of a media or a hardware error. Not so easy to determine. May i suggest you start by cleaning the drives.

If a cleaning of the drives is not sufficient :

Check your SCSI cables and terminators.
Terminators are cheap so replace them.
If you use fibrechannel infrastructure avoid the occurance of "Loop Initialisatiuon Packets" during the backup.
E.g every QLogic HBA is per factory default configured for FC-Loops.
Any reboot- or power-on operatuion of this HBA causes LIPs which are interpeted as SCSI-resets.

Check in your damon.log/daemon.raw if you can associate one tapedrive with this error.
In this case deactivate or replace the drive.

Hi thanks all

Now i'm cleaning the drive. when finish this operation i'll tell you the issue.

Regards
