I had an issue using our 4MM tape drive on an F50. I was wondering what command could I use to see what the tapeblksz is and how can I reset it to a system block size. I know at one point you could set the AIX system to allow it to pick the block size, I just don't know what it is or if I just think I can do it.

Any help would be greatful.

Thanks

0 is variable block length.
Do:

lsattr -El rmt0

and

chdev -l rmt0 -a block_size=0
