Tape backup questions

I know how to do a backup to my tape. tar -cvf /dev/st0 ~/*. I think this only back's up the /home directory. How do I view what is one the backup. Also is there a nice GUI interface that I can use to do the backup and view it as well?

tar tvf /dev/st0 should list it for you. IBM Certified Confused - MQSeries
