Hi Fellas,
Using MS Server 2003 Small Business Server, Veritas Exec Backup.
Backups have failed over the past week, normally get to about 80% completion then fail.
The tape drive is HP DAT 72 and the same tapes have been used daily for last 2 years. I tried a new tape and it still failed.
The server is HP ML350 with 3 x 36GB drives.
How critical is it to keep updates upto date? eg service pack 1 etc.
The errors include;
MS SQL $SHAREPOINT
50070: Unable to connect to the database STS_Config on ABPSVR01\SharePoint. Check the database connection information and make sure that the database server is running.
Backup Exec Alert: Job Cancellation (Server: "ABPSVR01") (Job: "Daily Full Backup") The job was canceled by user System. For more information, click the following link:
18272 : I/O error on backup or restore restart-checkpoint file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$BKUPEXEC\backup\master4IDR.ckp'. Operating system error 3(error not found). The statement is proceeding but is non-restartable.
Your assistance would be much appreciated.
thanks
Nathan
