Tape Alert not supported on IBM ULTRIUM-TD1

Configuration:


Netbackup 4.5 MP4
Solaris 8
L700
IBM UltriumTD1 FC tape drive Class 3560

I have tape alert setup but I get this message :
Tape Alert not supported on IBMULTRIUM-TD1

Veritas's support shows this tape drive does support TAPE ALERT on Solaris 8.

Has anyone had a similiar problem?
