Our corporate office is setting up a T1 here in my facility. This T1 will only be dedicated 1 or 2 times a week for business purposes. The rest of the week it will sit idle. It has to be dedicated to this task otherwise the task would fail.
Is there an easy way to tap into the T1 Access and use it the other 3 to 4 days of the week to increase network traffic and then disconnect it when it needs to be dedicated?
Any ideas would be greatly Appreciated.

What type of application is this and how easy/hard do you want to make this? Is it just a point to point T-1. An adtran Atlas 550 IAD/DACS would be a good option for remapping DS-1's from some ports to others based on time of day or day of the week. The 2 ends of the T-1 would terminate to the network side of the 550 at each site. Your dedciated app's equipment would terminate to user port 1 on each end. Your other app would terminate to user port 2 on each end. The network T-1 can be hardmapped to user port 1 on the few days and port 2 on the other days. -CL
