Hi, I've got a Meridian 11c rls 25.40B, the 11c is interconnected with an asterisk PBX via E1 card R2MFC signaling, I can call extensions from 11c to asterisk and viceversa, the 11c has E1 card for external calls (outbound and calls to PSTN), I'm trying to configure the 11c for permiting the Asterisk to make outbound calls to PSTN using E1 PSTN card on 11c.
Here is the 11c route that interconnect with asterisk:

When I try to use 11c PSTN route from asterisk to make a external call, the digits arrive incomplete.
Please any ideas?
I'm assuming you can make calls from the Option 11C to the PSTN without any issues.

It's been a few years since I've fooled with DTI2 trunks, but what's the NCOS defined on the trunks between the two systems since this isn't PRI2?

I'm thinking the Option 11C can handle an inbound call seeing that its going to terminate the call to an extension but going any further through the Option 11C you need to instruct the Option 11C what to do with the call, possibly insert an AC1 or AC2 translating digit to pass the call to another Trunk Route.

It has been a VERY long time since I worked on an M1 so this will be quite generic, but may spark someone else's memory.

Are you seeing the digits/call go out of the Asterisk and arrive at the M1 intact?

Does the Asterisk trunk on the M1 have the required privileges to make outgoing calls on the PSTN circuit?

What is changing digit wise between what arrives on the Asterisk trunk and what is passed to go out the PSTN, is it hitting the right route to be sent out PSTN?

Crumbs!. It's certainly been a good decade or more on this type of query.

What springs to mind is to set up in LD 56, the ART and TBAR's etc. Having said that, this was usually done to deny trunk to trunk access or to specify certain trunks from dialling out etc.

Having given it more thought, the easist thing would be to check that all your PSTN trunks as they need to have the TGAR set to "0" and the associated RDB TARG setting to also be set to "0".

The reason being is that by default, the TARG and TGAR settings were set to "1" (from I think? release 21.xx onwards) to prevent dial through fraud. If the TARG and TGAR settings were the same, the route access is denied.

I hope this helps?

Thanks Firebird Scrambler, for your answer, but routes don't have TARG, TARG is blank

In the Option 11C, is everything flagged as NCOS = 0 in your Translations for AC1 or AC2?

Do you restrict any calls to the PSTN or Internationally?

How do you have the ESN and NCTL table defined for FRL to NCOS Levels?
