Does anyone know what the part number would be for a Tandberg Tape Drive on a Meridian Mail if I were to buy it from someone other than Nortel? I've got the Nortel part number but would like to buy the drive from another vendor. Thanks!

I have a Tandberg SLR5 P/N 6389UE backing up my
Option 11c. Bought it from Insight.com, but CDW.com
has them too.

You can see what it looks like by going here.

I just ordered this external Tandberg Tape Drive to backup my MerMail system on an option 11c (Tandberg SLR5 P/N 6389UE) from CDW.
Anyone know if I will need to purchase a SCSI cable for the connection? If needed, can I purchase the SCSI cable from a third-party vendor as well, or is it Nortel proprietary? (my Nortel vendor gave me the Nortel part # on the cable.)

BTW, thanks for the previous post on how to get these tape drives. I really didn't want to pay Nortel 2-6x the cost for one of these tape drives.

TIA,
