I agree that it is not a good idea. Will there be any buyers for such an idea and what purpose does it serve anyway?

Why not record and play the video in your own VCR conveniently at home rather than all the way out in the graveyard?

The article brings up an interestiung idea but I don't think that it's a good one.

hehe ... I mean the family of the deceased keeps and watches the video at home. :)

Anyhow, what's next? Connecting all those graveyards to the Internet? Then, companies start offering Graveyard Firewall and Antivirus solutions (Geez, even the deads can't run away from computer viruses)? Better still, adware and pop-up blockers ...

Imagine what kind of job title an IT personnel would have if that happens: "Graveyard Information System Administrator". LOL

Ok... I guess I have let my imagination went off a little too far. :P

heh, yep, or since it is video, get some friends together and pretend they are mugging you and dumping you in a grave...then leave it with your will to be played on the tombstone :P

I see nothing wrong with this. What's the difference between this and people putting their last words or a quote on their tombstone? Like someone else said, if people will pay for it, then it's a good invention.

The problem is it will be hacked, as well as sold. I can just see a dozen McDonald's screens in the graveyard.

Worst Case Example:
Child (or grandchild) of deceased war vet is low on cash. Sells the rights to their predecessors tombstone to a less than reputable company who plays ads for low budget porn films or anti-patriotic messages. Wow, that got ugly in a hurry.

Pain is stress leaving the body.
