Talk to me like I'm 5 and explain how to set up/run an Apache server

I'm a web designer and my eyes kind of glaze over when you talk about servers etc. but apparently you need one to run DreamWeaver UltraDev 4.0 on a Mac because it doesn't have the Microsoft built-in server. How exactly do I go about getting the server software and setting it up for a Mac so I can run ColdFusion applications through DreamWeaver UltraDev?

Seriously setting up a server is pretty technical. However there is an easy way to get up and running. You will still need to learn a little Unix though. Check out e-smith:


This requires a seperate intel based box to be the dedicated server. If this is not what your are looking for try a google search, I'm sure you can find some documentation.
