Taking Snapshot of Items

Hi everyone,

I need to connect a camera for taking snapshot of items and save in a particular folder with a specified file name. does anyone know of some good activex control that can be used for this purpose. and does the activex control work with just any camera or some special cameras . i would love to hear from anyone who has worked on something like this !!!

Hi Vijay,

I have successfully used the EZTWAIN DLL from Dosadi for this. It's a bit complicated, but it does work well. It works with any camera that is TWAIN-compliant, which covers most cameras currently on the market. I used it with a webcam.

I wrote an article about the DLL, which you can see here: This might be little out of date now, but it should give you the general idea.
